Christ-followers believe that Jesus is our righteousness, not a righteousness that we have. The Bible is clear that not one of us is righteous in the eyes of GOD. What We Need To Know About Righteousness
The ultimate definition of righteousness is: that which is in accord with the nature and will of GOD.
There are two kinds of righteousness: A "faith" righteousness and a "works" righteousness. Faith righteousness is believing in the faithfulness of Yesua, to save us completely. Works righteousness is acting on the written Word of God, by the grace empowering us to become like Yesua, walking in his steps.
